72BC The Roman Empire conquered Bulgaria and they gave the new name of the town – Trimontsium(the town between three hills)
Ancient Theatre
It was built at the beginning of 2 century AC at the time of Traian Emperor.
It was one of the important buildings at those times with remarkable architecture and pomp.
The theatre kept from 5 to 7 thousand spectators.
The stage was decorate with fries , cornice and statues.
